WELCOMING THE DELEGATION FROM HALU OLEO UNIVERSITY, INDONESIA

On September 28, Dong Thap University hosted a meeting to welcome a delegation from Halu Oleo University, Indonesia. The delegation included Mr. Jamiludin Lapato Labae, Head of the Department of Education and Training, and Mr. La Ode Nggawu, Deputy Head of the Training Department and Lecturer in English and History.

During the meeting, representatives from both institutions introduced and shared information while expressing their commitment to enhancing collaboration between the two universities. The aim is to create favorable conditions for students and faculty members in terms of learning and in-depth research. The collaborative discussion focused on the research project "Developing the expertise of digital language teachers in the online practical community," addressing the increasing prevalence of online teaching practices.
In the context of the expanding digital revolution, the development of expertise for digital language teachers is becoming crucial, especially as online teaching and learning become more widespread. Representatives from both universities discussed ways to improve online teaching capabilities, develop quality content, and ensure interaction between teachers and students.

Additionally, the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the SEA-Teacher student exchange program, where students have the chance to engage in real teaching environments in various Southeast Asian countries. Collaboration in this area will offer students from both institutions the opportunity to experience diverse educational and cultural environments, thereby enhancing teaching skills and promoting international cooperation.
Continuing their collaboration in education and research, Dong Thap University and Halu Oleo University, Indonesia, are committed to contributing to the common development of education in Southeast Asia. They aim to provide opportunities for education students to access diverse and rich international learning environments.
