On January 29, 2026, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) and Viet Nam Union of Students (VUS) of Dong Thap University jointly organized a thematic seminar titled “Identifying and Countering Wrongful and Distorted Views Spread by Hostile Forces in the Current Context,” with the participation of nearly 400 HCYU–VUS officers, HCYU members, and students.
The program was honored to welcome Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Dung – Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Party Committee of Dong Thap University, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Dean of the School of Education – who directly delivered the thematic report. The seminar focused on clarifying common distortion tactics; methods of identification and counter‑argument; and orienting the roles and responsibilities of students in communication efforts and in safeguarding the ideological foundation of the Party. At the end of the session, students who participated and completed the required reflection assignment received an electronic certificate, which contributes to their qualification for the “Student with 5 good criteria” title at the university level for the 2025–2026 academic year.
On this occasion, the Youth Union of Dong Thap University announced the establishment and launch of a network for monitoring and guiding public opinion among students. This network serves as a core force in communication, capturing student sentiment, and promptly orienting public opinion within the student community.
The activity contributed to enhancing awareness, political courage, and responsibility among HCYU–VUS officers, HCYU members, and students, thereby strengthening the effectiveness of communication and educational efforts at the University in the coming period.
