In the morning of November 3rd, Dong Thap Federation of Friendship Associations along with Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Dong Thap province and Dong Thap University celebrated 100th anniversary of the October Revolution (7/11/1917 – 7/11/2017) at meeting-hall H1 of Dong Thap University.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Mr. Popov Aleksey Vlaclimirovich - Russia’s Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Vo Hong Nhan – Former Provincial Party Committee Secrectary; Mr. Tran Anh Dung – Vice Chairman of Dong Thap People’s Council; Mr. Chau Hong Phuc – Vice Chairman of Dong Thap People’s Committee; Mrs. Dang Thi My Cam - Chairwoman of Vietnamese Fatherland Front’s Committee; Mr. Le Xuan Hai - Chairman of Dong Thap Federation of Friendship Associations; Mr. Nguyen Tan Ngan - Chairman of Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Dong Thap province; Mr. Vo Thanh Tung – Vice Rector of Dong Thap University (DThU), together with other representatives of provincial departments and organizations and over 300 students of the university.

Towards the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution’s success, which turned socialism from theory into reality, has also been the guideline for Vietnam in the struggle for independence and in the orientation for the country development. At the moment, Russian Federation is one of the three comprehensive strategic partners, supporting Vietnam in human resource training and economic development.

In cozy atmosphere of the ceremony, the representatives of the province and former overseas students in Russia all reviewed the memories of the cooperative and friendly relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation. Simultaneously, through this event, the valuable and useful content, the meaning of the great October Revolution was presented to the public, which aims at conveying the aspiration for the succession and development of this cooperative relationship to the young generation of the two countries.
