On the morning of November 30, the Department of Education and Training of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, in cooperation with Dong Thap University, held a closing ceremony for the training course for teachers of History, Geography, and Natural Science at the secondary school level, in line with the 2018 National Education Program.
Since mid-July 2024, Dong Thap University and the Department of Education and Training of Ba Ria - Vung Tau have been organizing training activities for teachers to implement the 2018 National Education Program. The training included 167 teachers for History and Geography and 202 teachers for Natural Science, using a combination of in-person and online formats. History and Geography teachers participated in a 20-credit program, consisting of 300 hours of theory and practice, while Natural Science teachers attended a 36-credit program with 540 hours of theory and practice.
The training method combined in-person and online sessions, with 70% conducted in person at the Provincial Pedagogical College and 30% online via the LMS platform of Dong Thap University. After three months of training, 362 teachers completed the course and were awarded certificates, achieving a completion rate of 99.17%.
At the ceremony, 362 teachers of History, Geography, and 202 teachers of Natural Science received their certificates. Nine teachers who excelled during the training were also recognized and awarded.
