DThU – On August 14, Dong Thap University organized a conference to strengthen collaboration with rental housing providers in enhancing off-campus student management.
Attending the event were Mr. Cao Dao Thep, Vice Rector of Dong Thap University, together with faculty and department leaders, representatives of Cao Lanh Ward Police, and numerous landlords.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Cao Dao Thep, the university representative, highlighted the vital role of landlords in supporting student management, particularly during the transition period when freshmen begin their studies and adapt to a new environment. A clear understanding of students’ living conditions, residency status, and local public security helps the university manage students more effectively while contributing to a safe and civilized community.
The program also reviewed positive outcomes in off-campus student management, acknowledging the close cooperation of landlords and support from local authorities. A police representative shared practical guidance on public security, fire safety, and cybersecurity—presented in a clear and accessible way that helped raise landlords’ awareness and skills in prevention and response.
The conference further provided a forum for the university, police, and landlords to exchange ideas and propose solutions to improve management, focusing on encouraging students to declare their residence, comply with rental regulations, and strengthen fire prevention efforts.
On this occasion, Dong Thap University presented Certificates of Commendation to landlords with outstanding contributions in the 2024–2025 academic year. This recognition motivates landlords to continue working with the university to foster a safe and healthy living environment for students.
