Dong Thap University Hosts Working Session with Project 174 Management Board on YVI Recruitment Program

DThU - On August 28, Dong Thap University welcomed the Project 174 Management Board for a working session to discuss recruitment consulting for the Young Volunteer Intellectuals (YVI) program for the 2021–2030 period.

Attending the meeting was Lieutenant Nguyen Hung Rang, Deputy Head of the Planning and Advisory Department, along with members of the working delegation. Representing Dong Thap University was Mr. Pham Van Hiep, M.A., Head of the Party and Student Affairs Office, along with leaders of relevant departments, the Youth Union, and the Student Association.

During the session, both sides exchanged information regarding recruitment requirements, selection criteria, and preferential policies for young volunteer intellectuals working in the National Defense Economic Zones (NDEZ), as stipulated in Decision 174/TTg by the Prime Minister. Eligible candidates include single men and women aged 21 to 29 who are unmarried graduates of universities, colleges, or vocational schools. The service period is 24 months, with full benefits in accordance with current regulations.

According to the Project 174 Management Board, the upcoming recruitment round will take place from March 2026 to February 2028, with 27 positions available in fields such as agriculture–forestry, construction, industry, socio-economics, healthcare, and information technology. Selected candidates will be assigned to work in the Tan Hong National Defense Economic Zone in Dong Thap Province.

The program aims to promote the pioneering role of young intellectuals in national development and defense, contributing to security and stability in border areas along the Cambodian frontier. It also offers graduates the opportunity to serve, gain practical experience, and develop their careers in a unique working environment.

In the coming time, Dong Thap University will step up communication and outreach efforts to inform students and alumni about the Young Volunteer Intellectuals recruitment program with the hope that young intellectuals will actively participate, contributing to the development of the national defense economic zone, strengthening border security, and seizing opportunities to build skills, gain experience, and advance their careers.
