On August 28, at the Innovation Meeting Room, Dong Thap University, in collaboration with the VNU-HCM Center for Education Accreditation, conducted a Preliminary Site Visit for the quality assessment of 06 academic programs in 2026, with the aim of making the necessary preparations for the Official Site Visit for the quality assessment of the University’s academic programs.
Attending the program, the External Evaluation Team was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice Rector of Nguyen Tat Thanh University and Head of the External Evaluation Team; Ho Dac Hai Mien, M.A. – Deputy Director of the VNU-HCM Center for Education Accreditation; along with other members of the External Evaluation Team.
Representing Dong Thap University were Dr. Truong Tan Dat – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector; Dr. Nguyen Quoc Vu – Vice Rector; along with representatives of the leadership of the School of Education and relevant faculties, heads of the Secretariat Teams of the 06 academic programs undergoing external evaluation, and representatives of the University’s functional offices.
The 06 academic programs included in the survey are
🔵 Undergraduate programs: Primary Education; Technology Teacher Education.
🔵 Master’s programs: Theoretical and Mathematical Physics; Economic Management; Environmental Science; Theory and Methodology of English Language Teaching.
At the Preliminary Site Visit, a representative of Dong Thap University’s leadership delivered welcoming remarks to the External Evaluation Team and attending delegates, while also sharing information on the University’s preparations for the quality assessment of its academic programs.
Within the framework of the program, a representative of the VNU-HCM Center for Education Accreditation introduced the objectives and contents of the Preliminary Site Visit and as well as the members of the Preliminary Site Visit Team. A representative of the External Evaluation Team presented the results of the review of the Self-Assessment Reports, provided information on the plan for the Official Site Visit, and discussed the requirements that the University and relevant units need to prepare for the Official Site Visit.
At the conclusion of the working session, representatives of the VNU-HCM Center for Education Accreditation, the Head of the External Evaluation Team, and the leadership of Dong Thap University signed the Minutes of the Preliminary Site Visit, witnessed by representatives of the six academic programs and leaders of the University’s relevant units.
The Preliminary Site Visit provides a basis for Dong Thap University to further refine its preparations for the Official Site Visit for the quality assessment of the 06 academic programs, thereby contributing to maintaining and continuously improving the quality of education and better meeting the requirements of educational quality assurance.
