On April 12, Dong Thap University held the opening ceremony for the first online distance learning program of 2024 via Zoom Meetings. The main event took place at the University’s Boardroom.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Luong Thanh Tan, Vice Rector of Dong Thap University; Dr. Le Thi Kim Anh, Deputy Director of the Center for Training and Professional Development; as well as representatives from various departments, faculties, and partner organizations, along with students enrolled in the distance learning courses.
In his speech, Dr. Luong Thanh Tan extended his congratulations to the new students and assured them that the university will provide all necessary support to ensure they follow the program as planned. He also encouraged the new students to be self-motivated and maintain a proactive attitude to meet professional and academic standards.
With the mission to train highly qualified human resources across various fields, focusing on education and teacher training; conducting scientific research and providing community services; and contributing to the socio-economic development of the Mekong Delta region and the nation, Dong Thap University continually updates its training approaches. The university integrates advanced technologies into its educational programs and upgrades infrastructure and equipment to enhance students' self-study and research capabilities. As of April 2024, Dong Thap University offers 11 online distance learning programs, diversifying training formats to meet societal needs.
At the end of the ceremony, faculty advisors will connect with new students in group online meetings to discuss regulations, provide guidance on using the DThU online learning system (https://hoctructuyen.dthu.edu.vn), and share effective online study methods.
