On November 30, Dong Thap University solemnly held the opening ceremony of the Doctoral Training Program and Master’s Degree Awarding Ceremony 2025.
The program was honored to welcome Dr. Nguyen Trong Minh Khanh – President of the Economic and Education Development Union; MA. Nguyen An Nhien – Secretary of the Economic and Education Development Union. From Dong Thap University, attendees included Dr. Truong Tan Dat – Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Van Thong – Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van De – Chairman of the Science and Technology Council, Head of Educational Management Major; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Sy Thang – Vice Rector, along with many lecturers, administrators, more than 100 students, doctoral candidates, their families and friends.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Van Thong – Rector of the University shared: “Dong Thap University aims to train human resources, nurture talents, and contribute the advancement of knowledge to the development of the nation and the region. With more than 50 years of tradition in training teachers and educational administrators, over 20 years of multi-disciplinary university education, 13 years of Master’s training, and 6 years of Doctoral training, the University continues to affirm its position as a prestigious center for training, research, and innovation in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Today, we congratulate 84 students of cohorts 11 and 12 who have completed their graduate programs and are honored with the Master’s degree – the result of effort, perseverance, and silent sacrifices. We wish the doctoral candidates to keep their passion alive and achieve many scientific accomplishments in the future.”
At the ceremony, 25 doctoral candidates officially entered the Doctoral Program in three majors: 16 in Educational Management, 7 in Mathematics Teaching Theory & Methodology, and 2 in Theoretical Chemistry & Physical Chemistry. At the same time, 84 students in Educational Management, Mathematics Teaching Theory & Methodology, Theoretical Physics & Mathematical Physics received their Master’s degrees, recognizing their outstanding efforts in study and research.
Currently, Dong Thap University is one of 14 key higher education institutions in Vietnam specializing in teacher training. The University continuously innovates its programs, improves teaching and research quality, and accompanies the sustainable development of the community and society, meeting the demand for high-quality human resources in the context of international integration and the increasing requirements of the labor market.
