On November 4, a delegation from Dong Thap University (DThU), led by Dr. Truong Tan Dat, DThU Rector, accompanied by Dr. Nguyen Quoc Vu, Vice Rector, and leaders of relevant units, paid a working visit to Lac Hong University (LHU).
The delegation was welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lam Thanh Hien, LHU Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Phuong Truong, Head of the Testing and Quality Assurance Office; and Mr. Phan Huu Tiep, Director of the Information and Documentation Center.
During the working session, representatives of the two universities exchanged experiences in developing, managing, and utilizing databases for university governance, implementing QS University Rankings, and conducting academic program accreditation in accordance with AUN-QA standards. In particular, the DThU delegation expressed keen interest in learning from LHU's practical experience in developing data systems, integrating management systems, and utilizing information to support decision-making and enhance institutional operational efficiency.
With a particular focus on preparations for academic program accreditation under AUN-QA standards, representatives of the two universities discussed implementation procedures, necessary preparations, potential challenges, and solutions throughout the accreditation process. The practical experiences shared during the working session provided valuable references to support DThU in researching, developing plans, and implementing quality assurance activities.
The visit built upon previous professional exchanges between DThU and LHU. Earlier, on March 10, 2025, LHU organized a specialized workshop entitled "Methods for Measuring Learning Outcomes and Applications of AI in Teaching" at DThU, attracting more than 150 lecturers. As part of this initiative, LHU supported DThU in exploring and applying a learning outcomes measurement system aligned with international quality standards, thereby contributing to the measurement, assessment, and continuous improvement of educational quality.
The working visit contributed to strengthening institutional ties and professional exchanges between DThU and LHU while providing opportunities for administrators and staff members from relevant units to gain practical insights and learn from experiences in university governance and educational quality assurance. The visit also represented a meaningful step toward advancing the University's strategic directions in governance innovation, digital transformation, educational quality enhancement, and accreditation in accordance with national and international standards, thereby contributing to DThU's sustainable development goals.
