On November 1, at Nguyen Dinh Chieu High School in My Tho Ward, Dong Thap Province, Dong Thap University held a conference to review its admissions counseling and professional development activities in 2026. The conference aimed to evaluate the results achieved, share experiences, and identify directions for improving the quality of admissions counseling and professional development activities in 2027.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Dong Thap Department of Education and Training, local authorities, leaders of educational institutions, and relevant organizations. Representing Dong Thap University were members of the University’s Rectoral Board and leaders of its affiliated units.
The achievements in admissions counseling and professional development activities in 2026 demonstrated the effectiveness of cooperation between Dong Thap University, the Department of Education and Training, local authorities, and educational institutions. The active collaboration and support of these organizations helped make admissions counseling and career guidance more accessible to students while enabling the University to better understand professional development needs at the grassroots level. Accordingly, Dong Thap University continued to leverage its strengths in education and training, enhance the quality of its professional development programs, and meet the professional development needs of teachers and educational administrators.
At the conference, the University presented reports on the results of admissions counseling and professional development activities for the 2025–2026 academic year and outlined directions for professional development activities in the 2026–2027 academic year. Building on the achievements, delegates exchanged experiences, discussed practical challenges, and proposed solutions to innovate admissions counseling and improve the quality of professional development programs in line with the evolving requirements of the education sector.
As part of the conference, Dong Thap University introduced and officially launched its AI-powered Admissions Counseling Chatbot, marking a new approach to integrating artificial intelligence into admissions communication and counseling activities. The tool was researched and developed to help students and parents access admissions information more conveniently while diversifying communication channels between the University and prospective students. The implementation of this solution demonstrated the University's proactive efforts to innovate its counseling methods and apply digital technologies to meet practical needs in higher education.
On this occasion, Dong Thap University also recognized and presented awards to individuals who had made significant contributions to admissions counseling for full-time undergraduate programs in 2026. The recognition reflected the University's appreciation for their dedication and contributions to admissions activities while providing further motivation to make admissions counseling and career guidance increasingly practical and effective.
