On the afternoon of October 29, Dong Thap University attended a meeting of the Education Accreditation Council to review the external evaluation results of 06 academic programs, organized by the VNU-HCM Center for Education Accreditation (CEA VNU-HCM). The meeting followed the completion of the official external evaluation survey of the University's academic programs in September 2026.
The meeting was held online. Representing Dong Thap University were Dr. Nguyen Quoc Vu, Vice Rector; leaders of the faculties responsible for the 06 academic programs; Heads of the Secretariats of the Self-Assessment Councils; and representatives of the School of Education, Office of Quality Assurance, Office of Academic Affairs, Office of Graduate Studies, and other relevant units.
The 06 academic programs undergoing review of their external evaluation results included 02 undergraduate programs, namely Primary Education and Technology Education, and 04 master's programs: Theoretical and Mathematical Physics, Economic Management, Environmental Science, and Theory and Methodology of English Language Teaching.
During the meeting, a representative of Dong Thap University's leadership presented an overview report on the 06 academic programs. The Education Accreditation Council reviewed the external evaluation results, with representatives of CEA VNU-HCM and Dong Thap University exchanging views and discussing relevant matters during the meeting.
Previously, from September 12 to 15, 2026, the External Evaluation Team conducted an official survey at Dong Thap University. During the visit, the team reviewed documents and supporting evidence, inspected facilities and conditions supporting educational activities, and held discussions with relevant stakeholder groups of the 06 academic programs. At the closing session, the team presented a preliminary report on the survey findings, acknowledged the achievements made, and provided comments and recommendations for the University to continue reviewing and improving educational quality.
The accreditation review meeting on October 29 followed the previously conducted external evaluation activities, focusing on reviewing the quality evaluation results of the 06 academic programs. This activity forms part of the University's educational accreditation process, encompassing self-assessment, preliminary survey, official survey, and review of external evaluation results.
Through the external evaluation and review of the quality evaluation results of the 06 academic programs, Dong Thap University continues to place strong emphasis on educational quality assurance and continuous improvement. The University takes into consideration the findings and recommendations of the external evaluation team in reviewing and refining its educational activities, with the aim of enhancing quality and better meeting the needs of learners.
