On the morning of October 28, Dong Thap University welcomed a delegation from Da Lat College for a working visit to discuss future cooperation in education, professional development, and curriculum development, with the aim of expanding learning opportunities, enhancing professional qualifications, and meeting human resource development needs.
The delegation from Da Lat College included Dr. Bui Quang Son, Rector; Dr. Nguyen Thi My Hanh, Vice Rector; and leaders of academic units. Representing Dong Thap University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Sy Thang, Vice Rector, and representatives of relevant offices and centers.
Educational cooperation between the two institutions has yielded practical results in recent years. In 2025, the part-time degree programs offered at Da Lat College enrolled 183 new students, while nearly 200 graduates received their bachelor's degrees in December of the same year. These achievements provide a foundation for both institutions to further develop educational programs that meet learners' needs and support their professional development.
Building on their experience in implementing joint educational programs, the delegates discussed future directions for developing part-time degree programs, distance education, short-term professional development courses, and cooperation in organizing foreign language proficiency tests and issuing certificates. Particular emphasis was placed on developing programs that meet practical needs, diversifying learning opportunities, and improving the quality of professional development courses to help learners enhance their professional competencies and meet workplace requirements.
As part of the working visit, the delegation from Da Lat College toured Dong Thap University's facilities, explored its operational models, and exchanged experiences in management, student recruitment, educational program delivery, and learner support. The visit provided an opportunity for both institutions to share experiences, leverage their respective academic strengths, and explore solutions to enhance the effectiveness of their educational cooperation.
Building on their existing partnership, Dong Thap University and Da Lat College are well-positioned to explore flexible educational approaches that respond to practical needs, bringing learning opportunities and career development prospects closer to learners in local communities.
