In 2026, Dong Thap University recorded positive results in regular undergraduate admissions through proactive efforts to innovate its counseling approaches, expand its outreach, and strengthen connections with general education institutions. These admissions results reflected the interest and trust of students and parents in the University's learning environment, educational quality, and career development opportunities.
The University implemented admissions and career counseling activities through a variety of formats, combining face-to-face and online approaches. Counseling teams visited numerous high schools across the Mekong Delta and neighboring localities, meeting directly with students to provide information and address their questions about academic programs, admission methods, scholarship policies, the learning environment, and employment opportunities after graduation. These activities helped students gain a better understanding of their options and make informed decisions aligned with their abilities, strengths, and personal aspirations.
Alongside counseling activities at high schools, the University welcomed groups of students to visit its campus, experience university life, and explore academic programs, learning activities, and scientific research opportunities. Notably, the STEM Education Day – Innovation for the Community, jointly organized with Giao duc va Thoi dai Newspaper, provided an engaging environment for hands-on experiences in science, technology, and innovation, helping inspire students' curiosity and interest in scientific exploration while supporting their career orientation.
Admissions communication was also a key priority, supported by collaboration with various media organizations, including Giao duc va Thoi dai Newspaper, Ho Chi Minh City Education Magazine, Tuoi Tre Newspaper, Dong Thap Newspaper, Radio and Television, Vinh Long Radio and Television, and other media agencies through relevant programs and activities. Through admissions counseling programs, career guidance features, news articles, and communication initiatives, information about academic programs, admission methods, student support policies, and the learning environment at Dong Thap University was widely disseminated to students and parents.
In addition, the University strengthened its communication efforts through its website, Facebook fanpages, and other social media platforms, using livestreams, videos introducing academic programs, and online counseling sessions to help prospective students access accurate, timely, and convenient information.
The achievements in admissions counseling were made possible through the active support of Departments of Education and Training, high school administrators, media organizations, and the coordinated efforts of the University's faculties, functional units, lecturers, and students. This close collaboration helped improve the effectiveness of admissions and career counseling, expand partnership networks, and promote the image of Dong Thap University as a dynamic and welcoming learning environment that responds to society's development needs.
