On October 22, Dong Thap University welcomed and held a working session with a delegation from the Fulbright Program in Vietnam to strengthen educational cooperation between Vietnam and the United States, review the implementation of the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program at the University, and explore opportunities for future collaboration.
The delegation was led by Mr. Brian Keith Nocella – Press Attaché, U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, and included Ms. Vu Thi Diu – Fulbright Program Coordinator, U.S. Embassy in Hanoi, along with the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at the University. Representing Dong Thap University were Dr. Cao Dao Thep – Vice Rector; representatives of the leadership of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and the Office of International Affairs and Communications; and staff members involved in the program.
During the working session, both sides focused on discussing the activities of the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at Dong Thap University and reviewing the results achieved in supporting English language teaching, developing students' language skills, and promoting cultural exchange. The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss future directions for cooperation, contributing to improving the quality of education and expanding international learning opportunities at the University.
In addition to meeting with University representatives, the delegation also delivered a presentation on U.S. cultural and educational exchange programs to Dong Thap University lecturers and students. This activity provided students with valuable information about international exchange and study opportunities while broadening their understanding of U.S. culture and education.
The visit and working session with the delegation from the Fulbright Program in Vietnam further reaffirmed Dong Thap University's commitment to strengthening international cooperation, building connections with educational partners, and creating more learning and experiential opportunities for students. These efforts contribute to fostering a dynamic, internationally integrated, and sustainable educational environment.
