On July 27, Party Cell No. 6 of the Party Committee of Dong Thap University offered flowers and incense at the Relic Site of the Mausoleum of Pho bang Nguyen Sinh Sac and the Dong Thap Provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery in commemoration of the 79th Anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (27/7/1947–27/7/2026).
The activity was attended by the Secretary of Party Cell No. 6, party members of the Cell, and staff working at the Center for Training Cooperation and Professional Development.
In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation offered flowers and incense and observed a moment of silence in remembrance of Pho bang Nguyen Sinh Sac and the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. Members of the delegation also visited and lit incense at martyrs’ graves, expressing profound gratitude to those who devoted and sacrificed themselves for national liberation and the defense of the country.
War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27) is an occasion to honor and pay tribute to heroic martyrs, war invalids, sick soldiers, and people with meritorious services to the revolution; while contributing to educating the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source,” and fostering a sense of responsibility among officials, party members, and the public in their work, study, and self‑cultivation.
Through this activity, Dong Thap University continues to emphasize political and ideological education, nurturing patriotism and a sense of responsibility among its staff and employees, and aligning the University’s activities with the preservation of national traditions and service to the community.
