On the morning of July 14, 2026, at Hall H1 of Dong Thap University, the Standing Committee of Dong Thap Provincial Youth Union (Dong Thap HCYU) solemnly organized the Launching Ceremony of the Youth Project “Digital Volunteer Coordination System of Dong Thap Province.” The project was directly researched and developed by lecturers of the Faculty of Technology and Engineering, Dong Thap University, marking an important milestone in the digital transformation efforts of Dong Thap HCYU.

The program was held in a hybrid format, connecting 100% of HCYU branches at commune and ward levels, as well as affiliated units across Dong Thap Province. Nearly 700 youth union members and young people attended at the main venue and followed the event through local connection points. The ceremony took place in a dignified atmosphere, coinciding with the successful organization of the XIII National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (2026–2031 tenure), and heading toward the 1st Congress of the Viet Nam Youth Federation (VYF) of Dong Thap Province (2026–2029 tenure).

Representing the Dong Thap HCYU, the ceremony welcomed comrade Le Hoang Quyet, Member of the Central Executive Committee of the HCYU, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap Province, and Secretary of Dong Thap HCYU. Representing Dong Thap University—the coordinating unit and the institution directly researching and developing the System—was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Sy Thang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of the University, along with leaders of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and Standing members and Executive Committee members of HCYU at commune, ward, and affiliated levels.

The ceremony also welcomed the research team from the Faculty of Technology and Engineering, Dong Thap University, including: Dr. Luong Thai Ngoc, Deputy Dean of the Faculty; MSc. Nguyen Tuan Kiet, lecturer and project leader; and MSc. Le Minh Hieu, lecturer of the Faculty.

Delivering orientation and directives at the ceremony, comrade Le Hoang Quyet emphasized that digital transformation is no longer a matter of the future but has become present in every activity of the HCYU. The launch of the Digital Volunteer Coordination System of Dong Thap Province concretizes the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. It also reflects the pioneering and creative spirit of young people, especially the intellect and dedication of lecturers and students of Dong Thap University contributing to the province’s youth volunteer movement.

The Digital Volunteer Coordination System is expected to enable faster, more efficient, and more transparent connections between volunteer activities and youth union members across the province, addressing limitations related to geographical distance and manual coordination methods previously used. The product represents the intellect and enthusiasm of young people at Dong Thap University and serves as vivid evidence of the University’s role in supporting and contributing scientific and technological resources to HCYU work and youth movements in the province.

Immediately after the ceremony, the program continued with an online training session on using the System, delivered directly by MSc. Nguyen Tuan Kiet. The training was connected to 100% of commune, ward, and affiliated HCYU units, helping grassroots HCYU officers master the system’s operations and soon apply it effectively in practice.

The collaboration between Dong Thap University and Dong Thap Provincial Youth Union in researching, developing, and launching the Digital Volunteer Coordination System once again affirms the University’s active role in the province’s digital transformation efforts, contributing to concretizing major Party directives and continuing the pioneering spirit inspired by the XIII National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
