On July 14, Dong Thap University held the Summary Conference on VSTEP Joint Examination Activities and Appreciation Ceremony for Partners in the 2025–2026 academic year. The program highlighted outstanding achievements in English training, assessment, and the valuable support of partner institutions.
In the 2025–2026 academic year, Dong Thap University organized 12 VSTEP examination sessions aligned with the 6-Level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Viet Nam, attracting 5,549 registered candidates. Among them, 4,285 candidates met the requirements, equivalent to a pass rate of 88.79%. Compared to the previous academic year, the number of registered candidates increased by 132.86%, the number of successful candidates rose by 166.15%, and the pass rate improved by 19.09 percentage points.
These results reflect the growing demand for English proficiency assessment and demonstrate the University’s strengthened capacity in organizing, managing, and supporting candidates. All stages—from consultation, registration, review classes, examination procedures, result processing, to certificate issuance—were implemented under a unified process, ensuring seriousness, objectivity, safety, and compliance with regulations.
Alongside improving examination quality, the University has focused on expanding its cooperation network with educational institutions, training units, and foreign language centers within and beyond the Mekong Delta region. From March 2024 to June 2026, partner units introduced 2,515 candidates to take the VSTEP exam at Dong Thap University; 2,324 candidates met the requirements, accounting for 92.40%.
Through its cooperation network, Dong Thap University has gradually expanded the scale of VSTEP training and examination, creating opportunities for staff, lecturers, teachers, postgraduate learners, and workers to meet requirements for output standards, recruitment, and career development. This affirms the University’s competence and reputation in English training, assessment, and proficiency evaluation.
In the coming period, the University will continue to refine examination procedures, develop professional staff, upgrade facilities, and strengthen the application of information technology. Cooperation with partner units will be expanded sustainably to better meet learners’ needs in English learning, review, and proficiency assessment.
The conference served as an occasion for Dong Thap University to acknowledge and appreciate partners who accompanied the University throughout the 2025–2026 academic year, while reinforcing the foundation for future collaboration to enhance the quality of VSTEP training and examination.Photos from the conference:
