Dong Thap University strengthens academic cooperation with Chaoyang University of Technology

From July 12 to 15, 2026, Dong Thap University welcomed and worked with the delegation from Chaoyang University of Technology, China (Taiwan).

The program was implemented based on the Memorandum of Understanding signed on December 1, 2025, aiming to concretize activities in scientific research, faculty and student exchange, and the organization of international academic programs.

The delegation included Ms. Liza Lee – Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Distinguished Professor of the Department of Early Childhood Development and Education; and Ms. Ching‑Wen Wang – Assistant Professor, Deputy Director of the Foreign Language Center.

Receiving the delegation were Dr. Truong Tan Dat – Rector of Dong Thap University; Dr. Cao Dao Thep – Vice Rector; leaders of the School of Education along with representatives of units in charge of international cooperation, science and technology, foreign languages, technology, and engineering.

During the working session on July 13, delegates discussed orientations for collaborative research, connecting faculty and researchers, and developing topics aligned with each institution’s academic strengths. Coordination for organizing the 6th International Conference on Social Sciences and Intelligence Management – SSIM 2026 was discussed, including academic content, scholar networking, proposed themes, and participation methods for relevant units.

Representatives of Dong Thap University’s academic units worked directly with representatives of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Department of Early Childhood Development and Education of Chaoyang University of Technology. Through discussions, both sides identified suitable fields, focal contact points, and coordination methods in training, research, academic exchange, and joint program development.

Cooperation activities include faculty and student exchanges, sharing training experiences, and enhancing an internationalized learning environment. These activities help faculty expand professional networks and participate in joint research, while enabling students to improve foreign language proficiency, intercultural communication skills, and adaptability in an integrated environment.

Within the program framework, the delegation visited Tram Chim Ramsar to explore the wetland ecosystem, biodiversity values, and nature conservation efforts. The activity contributed to promoting the image of Dong Thap, its people, and its distinctive ecological values to international partners.

It further highlights the image of a dynamic university that proactively integrates and focuses on developing substantive cooperative programs.
