On the afternoon of July 6, 2026, Dong Thap University held a meeting with students and parents ahead of the departure of 23 Chinese Language majors participating in the 2026 paid internship program in Taiwan.

The paid internship program in Taiwan is one of the key initiatives within Dong Thap University's strategy to integrate academic training with practical experience and strengthen international integration. Through cooperation between the University and international partners, students are provided with opportunities to study and work in professional environments, apply their academic knowledge in practice, and enhance their professional competencies in a global context.
In 2026, 23 students majoring in Chinese Language have been selected to participate in a 12-month paid internship program at enterprises in Taiwan approved by the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan, including Second Floor Group, Second Floor Food, Second Floor Gourmet, and DAIBISHU. During the internship period, students will work in professional environments with regulated remuneration while further improving their Chinese language proficiency, professional skills, communication abilities, industrial working attitudes, and adaptability to international workplaces.

To facilitate students' participation in the program, Dong Thap University has implemented various practical support policies, including assistance with departure procedures, airport transportation arrangements, and financial support from the University's Special Support Fund. Each participating student receives financial assistance of VND 3 million, helping to reduce initial expenses and providing additional motivation and confidence for studying and working abroad.
Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Truong Tan Dat, Rector of Dong Thap University, congratulated the 23 Chinese Language students on their dedication and achievements that enabled them to be selected for the paid internship program in Taiwan. He emphasized that each student represents not only themselves but also the image of Dong Thap University students and Vietnamese students in the international environment. Therefore, alongside developing professional and language competencies, students are expected to maintain professionalism, responsibility, respect for laws and local culture, and a commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.
