Dong Thap University Meets with Press and Media on the 101st Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day

On June 21, Dong Thap University held a meeting with press and media agencies to celebrate the 101st Anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2026). The program served as an opportunity for the University to express gratitude to journalists who have always accompanied its development, while also strengthening connections, exchanges, and orientations for future communication cooperation.

Attending the program were Comrade Pham The Vinh – Deputy Head of the Publicity and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee; journalist Ngo Thi Ngoc Hanh – Editor-in-Chief of Dong Thap Newspaper and Radio–Television; journalist Nguyen Xuan Loc – Head of the Representative Office of Giao duc va Thoi dai Newspaper in the Mekong Delta; journalist Tran Thanh Trang – Head of the Representative Office of Thanh nien Newspaper in the Southwest region; along with more than 50 journalists and delegates representing press and media agencies, as well as veteran journalists.

From Dong Thap University, the event was attended by journalist, Dr. Truong Tan Dat – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector, and Editor-in-Chief of the Dong Thap University Journal of Science; journalist, Dr. Cao Dao Thep – Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Sy Thang – Vice Rector; journalist, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Minh Gian – Former Vice Rector and Former Editor-in-Chief of the Dong Thap University Journal of Science; together with leaders of affiliated units, faculties, departments, and centers of Dong Thap University.

Speaking at the meeting, journalist, Dr. Truong Tan Dat – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector, and Editor-in-Chief of the Dong Thap University Journal of Science – expressed deep appreciation for the contributions of press and media agencies in spreading educational values, promoting the University’s image, and accompanying its development over the years. Objective and timely information, along with constructive feedback from the press, has helped the University improve its operations and gradually affirm its reputation and position within the higher education system.

In an open and friendly atmosphere, representatives of press and media agencies shared various opinions related to educational communication, student admissions, brand building, startup development among students, as well as solutions to enhance the effectiveness of cooperation between the University and the press in the coming time.

Many suggestions encouraged Dong Thap University to continue promoting its strengths in training, scientific research, and community service; while also accelerating digital transformation and improving communication effectiveness on digital platforms to enhance accessibility for learners and spread positive values of higher education to society.

On this occasion, Dong Thap University extended congratulations to journalists on the 101st Anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and awarded Certificates of Commendation to individuals who have made significant contributions to the University’s communication activities.

With the motto “Constructivist – Professional – Integrated”, Dong Thap University hopes to continue receiving the attention and companionship of press and media agencies to spread the positive values of education, contributing to the effective fulfillment of its mission to train high-quality human resources for the development of the country and the Mekong Delta region.
