School of Education Scientific Conference 2026: “Science, Technology, and Innovation in Teacher Education”

On the morning of May 20, 2026, at Hall H1, the School of Education – Dong Thap University organized a scientific conference themed “Science, Technology, and Innovation in Teacher Education.” The event aimed to create an academic forum for exchanging orientations, solutions, and experiences in scientific research, innovation, and digital transformation within the field of teacher training.

The conference was honored to welcome: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Sy Thang – Vice Rector of Dong Thap University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Dung – Dean of the School of Education; MA. Nguyen Phan Minh Trung – Deputy Head of the Personnel and Legal Affairs Office; MA. Danh Trung – Deputy Head of the Office of Science and Technology; MA. Nguyen Hoang Nam – Deputy Director in charge of Le Vu Hung Learning Resource Center; MA. Le Phuoc Vinh – Deputy Director of the Service Center; Msc. Le Quang Minh – Deputy Director of the Foreign Languages and Informatics Center, along with faculty members and more than 200 students of the School of Education.

In the opening remarks, the School of Education leadership emphasized the crucial role of science, technology, and innovation in the context of higher education undergoing strong transformation aligned with the national digital transformation agenda. Teacher education, therefore, must not only focus on professional knowledge but also strengthen research capacity, technological application, and adaptability to the rapid development of modern society.

The conference took place in the context of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, which identifies breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation as decisive factors for competitiveness and essential conditions for rapid and sustainable national development in the new era. In line with this orientation, Dong Thap University in general and the School of Education in particular have consistently regarded scientific research, technology development, and innovation as core missions closely linked to training, community service, and educational quality enhancement. Promoting scientific research among lecturers and students not only strengthens professional competence but also fosters a dynamic, creative, and globally integrated academic environment.

As the unit responsible for teacher education programs and other related academic fields at Dong Thap University, the School of Education has continuously encouraged scientific research, technological application, and pedagogical innovation. In recent years, numerous research projects, creative products, and technology-integrated teaching models have been effectively implemented, contributing to improved training quality and meeting the demands of educational reform.

At the conference, presentations focused on analyzing the current state of scientific research, technology application, and innovation in education; and proposed practical solutions to enhance research effectiveness among lecturers and students. The presentations also highlighted the role of digital transformation in education, including artificial intelligence applications, digital learning resources, modern teaching methods, and the development of creative learning environments. Many discussions emphasized that in the rapidly digitalizing educational landscape, lecturers must not only transmit knowledge but also act as facilitators, innovators, and adaptive practitioners. Therefore, promoting scientific research and innovation among lecturers and teacher education students is essential for the long-term development of the education sector.

In addition to the main presentation sessions, the conference featured a scientific poster exhibition showcasing various products, ideas, and research outcomes by lecturers and students. The posters covered topics such as innovative teaching methods, information technology applications in education, artificial intelligence in learning, STEM education, digital transformation in teacher training, and solutions to enhance educational quality.

The poster space attracted strong interest and active interaction from delegates, lecturers, and students. It provided opportunities for students to present their research results while fostering academic engagement, creativity, and scientific thinking.

The 2026 School of Education Scientific Conference was a meaningful and practical event that strengthened academic connections, promoted scientific research, and encouraged innovation among lecturers and students. It also served as an important foundation for the School of Education to continue identifying orientations and specific solutions to enhance scientific research, technology development, and innovation in the coming years, meeting the demands of educational reform in the digital era.

Through this conference, the School of Education reaffirmed its role as a dynamic and innovative teacher training institution, progressively adapting to modern educational trends and contributing to the effective implementation of Dong Thap University’s strategy for science, technology, and innovation development in the new period.
