Aiming to strengthen connections with enterprises and equip students with career information, essential job application skills, and insights into current labor market trends, the School of Education – Dong Thap University collaborated with FPT Education in the Mekong Delta to organize a Career Opportunities Sharing Workshop for students.
The program took place in an energetic and open atmosphere, drawing significant interest from students of the School of Education. This meaningful activity served as a practical bridge between the training institution and employers; at the same time, it provided students with opportunities to gain real-world career insights, develop essential skills, and prepare for future integration into the labor market.
The workshop was honored to welcome Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Dung – Dean of the School of Education, Dong Thap University; Mr. Vo Thanh Dong – Head of Human Resources, FPT Education in the Mekong Delta region; Dr. Nguyen Trung Hieu – Head of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics Education, School of Education; Dr. Nguyen Thi Kieu – Head of the Faculty of Primary and Preschool Education, School of Education; MSc. Nguyen Thi My Dung, Senior Lecturer – Deputy Head of the Informatics Education Department, School of Education, along with more than 200 students from the School of Education.
Speaking at the event, the leadership of the School of Education emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between the school and enterprises in the context of higher education increasingly oriented toward training aligned with societal needs and labor market demands. Accordingly, in addition to professional knowledge, students need opportunities to access real working environments, enhance soft skills, adaptability, and integration capacity from early in their academic journey.
In recent years, the School of Education has continuously expanded cooperation with businesses and recruitment units to create a practice-oriented learning environment, support students in career orientation, and improve their employability after graduation. The collaboration with FPT Education in the Mekong Delta region to organize this workshop further demonstrates the shared commitment to developing high-quality human resources.
Representing FPT Education in the Mekong Delta region, Mr. Vo Thanh Dong – Head of Human Resources – shared practical insights into recruitment needs, working environments, and trends in human resource development in today’s education sector. His insights not only provided a realistic perspective on the labor market but also helped students better understand job requirements in the context of digital transformation and global integration.

These activities helped students strengthen soft skills, build confidence, and gradually enhance their professional competencies during their studies. Many students expressed that the workshop provided useful and practical information, helping them better understand employer expectations and the skills they need to prepare in the near future. The event also inspired students to be more proactive in learning, researching, skill development, and career planning.
