Activities Mark Vietnam Science, Technology and Innovation Day 2026

On May 19, Dong Thap University organized a series of activities to celebrate the Vietnam Science, Technology and Innovation Day 2026, focusing on key contents aimed at further promoting scientific research and innovation within the institution.

Attending the program were MA Cao Dao Thep, Senior Lecturer – Vice Rector of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Sy Thang – Vice Rector of the University; along with leaders of affiliated and subordinate units, scientists, lecturers, staff members, and students.

In recent years, Dong Thap University has continuously strengthened its activities in science, technology, and innovation with a focus on practical application, improving training quality, and fostering advanced research development. Numerous research projects and studies with high applicability have been implemented, while scientific publications, technology transfer, and research collaboration have received increasing attention and development.

In addition, the University continues to promote innovation activities, creative start‑ups, student scientific research, intellectual property development, and stronger connections with enterprises and localities, aiming to enhance the applicability of research outcomes in practice.

At the discussion session, various opinions were shared on the orientations for developing science, technology, and innovation activities in the new phase, along with solutions to improve the quality of scientific research, enhance the effectiveness of research groups, and strengthen the linkage between research activities and practical needs.

On this occasion, Dong Thap University announced and introduced 37 research groups developed with specialized and interdisciplinary orientations. The establishment of these groups is identified as a key task aimed at promoting scientific activities, increasing scientific publications, strengthening technology transfer, and enhancing research quality in the new phase.

The University also honored outstanding scientists with excellent achievements in science, technology, and innovation activities, and presented Certificates of Merit and rewards to 32 staff members and one student for their remarkable contributions to scientific research in 2026.

The series of activities celebrating the Vietnam Science, Technology and Innovation Day 2026 continues to affirm Dong Thap University’s commitment to scientific research, innovation, and the development of its research community.
