In accordance with training commitments and school safety standards, Dong Thap University, in collaboration with the Center for Vocational Education – Continuing Education of Hung Yen Province, is organizing a series of intensive training programs on drowning prevention knowledge, skills, and first-aid techniques for 2,320 educational administrators and teachers across Hung Yen Province.
The training program is developed based on the content of Decision No. 4704/QĐ-BGDĐT issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, along with learning materials from Dong Thap University. With an innovative approach, the course flexibly combines online theoretical instruction with hands-on, scenario-based practical training to optimize self-rescue and rescue response skills. To ensure adequate facilities and convenience for participants, the in-person training sessions are conducted simultaneously at designated training sites under the Hung Yen Center for Vocational Education – Continuing Education and the Thai Binh Center for Vocational Education – Continuing Education.
According to the overall plan, the program is delivered through a blended format, with the practical swimming pool training phase implemented in rotation from May 4, 2026, to May 21, 2026. The training course plays a practical role in equipping participants with essential survival skills and internationally aligned first-aid techniques, thereby building a core network of teachers capable of safeguarding students from local water-related hazards. Upon completion and successful assessment, participants will be awarded a Certificate issued by Dong Thap University in accordance with current regulations.
