On April 10, Dong Thap University, in collaboration with the Nguyen Sinh Sac Scholarship Fund, held the 2025–2026 Nguyen Sinh Sac Scholarship Award Ceremony for students facing difficult circumstances and achieving strong academic results. These scholarships carry practical meaning, providing motivation for students to strive in their studies and personal development.
Representing the Nguyen Sinh Sac Scholarship Fund were Mr. Vo Hong Nhan – former Member of the Party Central Committee, former Deputy Head of the Central Commission for Ideology and Culture, former Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, and currently Head of the Fund’s Mobilization Committee – and Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhan, Chairwoman of the Fund’s Management Council. The event also attended by representatives from sponsoring organizations, including Dong Thap Lottery One-Member Limited Liability Company, Vinh Hoan Corporation, BIDV Dong Thap Branch, VPBank Dong Thap Branch, Dong Thap Housing and Industrial Zone Development Investment Joint Stock Company (HIDICO), and Dong Thap Construction and Building Materials Joint Stock Company. From Dong Thap University, MA. Cao Dao Thep – Senior Lecturer, Vice Rector – along with leaders of relevant departments, offices, and faculties attended the ceremony.
Established in 2010, the Nguyen Sinh Sac Scholarship Fund aims to support disadvantaged students in their pursuit of education; commend teachers and students who achieve high results in national and international competitions; honor valedictorians, outstanding graduates, and families who overcome hardship to educate their children well through the “Guong Sang Hieu Hoc” (Bright Examples of Studiousness) program. Over the years, the Fund has helped spread the spirit of learning and inspired younger generations through the exemplary life of Nguyen Sinh Sac, who embodied perseverance, patriotism, and community dedication.
In recent years, the Fund’s activities have provided meaningful encouragement to disadvantaged students, helping them ease financial burdens and continue their educational journey. The Fund also contributes to social welfare, human resource development, and the promotion of a learning culture within the community.
For the 2025–2026 academic year, the Fund awarded 76 scholarships to students of Dong Thap University. Among them, 23 students with excellent and very good academic performance received 15 million VND each, while 53 students with good academic performance received 10 million VND each. The total scholarship value for the university’s students amounted to 875 million VND. This meaningful support helps students overcome difficulties and continue striving in their studies and personal growth.
Additionally, in 2025, the Dong Thap University Study Promotion Association raised nearly 1 billion VND and awarded 250 scholarships to students overcoming hardship. The Association also continues to support 12 students through the “Guong Sang Hieu Hoc” program, fostering a spirit of mutual support within the student community.
Through this program, it is hoped that scholarship recipients will continue nurturing their passion for learning and striving for success in both study and future careers. As they grow and mature, each individual can contribute to spreading humanistic values and the spirit of sharing within the community, continuing the tradition of solidarity and compassion upheld by the Nguyen Sinh Sac Scholarship Fund. This positive influence will serve as a sustainable source of motivation, strengthening the confidence of future generations of disadvantaged students as they pursue education and build their lives.
