On February 11, Dong Thap University organized a ceremony to commend and reward individuals who achieved outstanding results in the Vietnamese Standardized Test of English Proficiency (VSTEP), held on December 27–28, 2025, and January 24–26, 2026.
Attending the ceremony were Dr. Vo Phan Thu Ngan – Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages; MA Vo Minh Lam – Director of the Foreign Languages and Informatics Center; along with representatives of relevant units and candidates who achieved excellent results in the examinations.
The individuals honored this time come from various agencies, organizations, universities, and language centers within and outside the province. Many candidates achieved Level 5 (C1) according to the Vietnamese 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework – a level that meets the requirements for academic study, research, and professional work.
Notably, candidate Tran Thanh Tam, a part-time student majoring in English Language who graduated in 2026 from Dong Thap University, achieved an outstanding score in the examination held on January 24–26, 2026, demonstrating strong effort and determination in learning and developing English proficiency.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Director of the Foreign Languages and Informatics Center – Dong Thap University extended congratulations, acknowledged, and praised the learning efforts of the high-achieving individuals. He also affirmed that the University will continue to maintain strict and compliant organization of the examination.
The commendation program serves as a source of encouragement and motivation, contributing to inspiring candidates in their journey to improve foreign language proficiency.
Currently, Dong Thap University continues to offer VSTEP preparation courses, organize monthly examinations, and issue English proficiency certificates according to the Vietnamese 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework (VSTEP).
