On January 17, Dong Thap University held the Graduation Ceremony for students of the part‑time training programs in 2026.
Attending the ceremony were representatives from partner educational institutions: Mr. Tran Trong Nhan – Principal of Viet–Japan College; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoang – Vice Rector of Can Tho College; Mr. Nguyen Van Toan – Principal of Southwest Asia Economic–Technical College; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien – Director of the Continuing Education Center, Ho Chi Minh City Branch; and Mr. Ha Thanh Long – Principal of Hong Ngu College.
Representing Dong Thap University were Mr. Cao Dao Thep – Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of the University; along with leaders of offices, faculties, and centers; lecturers, staff members; and more than 300 new graduates attending the ceremony.
With more than half a century of development, Dong Thap University remains steadfast in its mission to train high‑quality human resources, especially in educational sciences and teacher training. According to the Prime Minister’s Decision, the University is one of 14 key higher education institutions responsible for teacher training nationwide during the 2021–2030 period, with a vision toward 2050. The University currently offers 58 undergraduate programs, 18 master’s programs, and 3 doctoral specializations, while also providing diverse training formats such as bridging programs, part‑time study, second‑degree programs, and distance learning to meet learners’ lifelong education needs.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Cao Dao Thep – Vice Rector of Dong Thap University – emphasized that part‑time study requires learners to proactively manage their time and balance work, study, and family responsibilities. The learning process demands perseverance, self‑discipline, and strong determination. Today’s graduation results reflect the learners’ seriousness, resilience, and aspiration to enhance their professional competence to better serve their work and society.
At the ceremony, the University awarded graduation degrees to 304 students of the part‑time programs. On this occasion, Dong Thap University also presented certificates of merit and rewards to outstanding graduates in recognition of their efforts and achievements throughout their studies.
