Dong Thap University Students Win Five Awards at the 2025 National Scientific and Technological Research Competition

On November 8, 2025, at Nha Trang University (Khanh Hoa Province), the Ministry of Education and Training held the closing ceremony and award presentation for the 2025 Scientific and Technological Research Competition for students from higher education institutions—a prestigious nationwide academic event.

This annual competition, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, aims to recognize and honor individuals and student groups with outstanding achievements in scientific research. It encourages creativity, a passion for knowledge, and provides opportunities for students to apply academic learning to real-world contexts, thereby enhancing training quality and promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in universities.

The 2025 competition attracted participation from 112 universities and colleges, with 628 research projects spanning six fields: 1. Natural Sciences; 2. Engineering and Technology; 3. Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences; 4. Agricultural Sciences; 5. Social Sciences; 6. Humanities. From these, the organizing committee selected 125 projects from 58 institutions to present at the Final Round held at Nha Trang University from November 5–8, 2025.

Continuing its success from previous years, Dong Thap University reaffirmed its position in student research activities with one project winning Second Prize in the field of Educational Science. The project, titled “A System of Exercises for Teaching Polysemous and Homonymous Words to Grade 5 Students in Thap Muoi District, Dong Thap Province, Based on Competency Development”, was conducted by students Pham Nhu Y and Tran Thi Ngoc Tram (Primary Education major), under the guidance of Dr. Tran Hoang Anh from the Faculty of Primary and Preschool Education, School of Education, Dong Thap University. Notably, this marks the third time Dr. Tran Hoang Anh has mentored students whose research projects reached the Final Round and won Second Prize at the Ministry-level Scientific and Technological Research Awards. This achievement reflects his dedication, research expertise, and commitment to supporting students in scientific research—an ethos shared by all faculty members at Dong Thap University.
