DThU - On August 9, Dong Thap University held a conference to summarize the 2024-2025 academic year and announced plans and tasks for the 2025-2026 academic year (Phase 2). Attending the conference were the university’s Rectoral Board and former leaders, along with lecturers, staff, and employees from affiliated units.
During the 2024–2025 academic year, the university successfully completed 12 key task groups with 10 goals and 26 specific indicators, achieving positive results in various areas: improving training quality, advancing digital transformation, expanding international cooperation, and developing training programs aligned with practical needs. Notably, the DThU digital ecosystem was operated synchronously, effectively supporting management, teaching, and learning activities. The review of organizational structure, completion of operational regulations, and investment in facilities and technological infrastructure were also implemented on schedule, in line with the university’s autonomy orientation.
Speaking at the conference, Dr. Truong Tan Dat acknowledged and praised the efforts of all staff, lecturers, and employees throughout the past academic year. He also expressed his hope that the university community will continue to promote unity, embrace innovation, and actively integrate to successfully fulfill the tasks of the 2025–2026 academic year.
Building on the achievements, the university has identified strategic focuses such as developing training programs aligned with real-world needs, applying modern technologies, enhancing professional practice skills, and ensuring quality according to international standards. New academic disciplines, especially in fields like artificial intelligence, creative entrepreneurship, and digital skills, will be researched and implemented to match labor market trends. Additionally, distance learning formats, IT certifications, VSTEP, and foreign language programs will be expanded to meet the diverse learning needs of society.
Scientific research activities will continue to be oriented toward practical local needs and highly applicable fields such as digital technology and sustainable agriculture. The university is also committed to developing student support centers for entrepreneurship, event organization, and business networking. At the same time, its network of domestic and international experts and scientists is being expanded to foster innovation, apply technology in practice, and enhance global integration. International cooperation will be selectively implemented, focusing on practical areas such as faculty and student exchanges, joint research, and enrollment support.
