On the morning of July 3, in Room 503, Building H2 of Dong Thap University, the Office of Party and Student Affairs, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and academic faculties, held a ceremony to award the “Biochem - Green Nurturing Scholarship” for the second semester of the 2024 - 2025 academic year to disadvantaged students.
Mr. Cao Dao Thep, Vice Rector of Dong Thap University, along with representatives from various departments and faculties, attended the program.
This time, 27 students were awarded scholarships. These recipients come from disadvantaged backgrounds and have shown great perseverance in their studies. Each student received an amount ranging from nearly 2 million to over 10 million VND, depending on the evaluation of the sponsoring organization. Previously, during the first semester, 32 students had also received this scholarship.
The “Biochem - Green Nurturing Scholarship” is an annual program sponsored by BIOCHEM. It carries a deeply humanitarian meaning, aiming to support students both materially and spiritually, especially those who actively participate in student union activities and the university’s community engagement programs.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Cao Dao Thep, congratulated the scholarship recipients and encouraged them to use the funds effectively and purposefully. He also motivated the students to continue striving in their academic and personal development, as well as to actively contribute to university activities, thereby playing a role in the country’s overall development in this “Era of Growth.”
On behalf of the University, Dr. Thep expressed sincere gratitude to BIOCHEM for their continued support of student welfare, and conveyed the hope for ongoing collaboration in the future.
