SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE ON “COLLABORATION IN DEVELOPING EDUCATIONAL SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN THE CONTEXT OF INNOVATION AND INTEGRATION”

On April 28, Dong Thap University hosted a scientific conference with the theme “Collaboration in Developing Educational Scientific Research in the Context of Innovation and Integration.” The conference provided a platform for academic exchange, sharing research experiences, and promoting effective collaboration between educational institutions, research bodies, and educational practice.

The event welcomed many esteemed scholars and education experts from across the country. Distinguished guests included Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Quang, Chairman of the University Council of Thai Nguyen University; Prof. Dr. Le Anh Vinh, Director of the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences; Dr. Dinh Duc Tai, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Educational Sciences; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trung Cang from Kien Giang University; Dr. Tien Hai Ly from Bac Lieu University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Anh Huy and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Phuong Tam from Can Tho University, along with a large number of lecturers and researchers from teacher training institutions in the region.

Representing Dong Thap University were Dr. Truong Tan Dat, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Van Thong, Rector; Mr. Cao Dao Thep, Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Sy Thang, Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van De, Chairman of the University’s Council for Science and Training; along with a team of lecturers, administrators, and researchers from the university.

The conference presentations offered diverse practical perspectives on educational scientific research in the era of reform. Prof. Dr. Le Anh Vinh presented the framework of the national science and technology program for the development of educational science until 2030, highlighting the role of research in improving education quality to meet integration demands. Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Quang analyzed the implementation orientations of the general education program in the Mekong Delta, considering the region’s unique socio-economic conditions. Representing Dong Thap University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van De presented a model for developing a network of teacher training and educational scientific research to meet the comprehensive educational reform requirements of the region.

In addition to key presentations, various discussions during the conference revolved around the development of policies supporting educational scientific research, mechanisms for sharing research resources among institutions, and effective models of training–research collaboration within the region.

As part of the program, Dong Thap University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences. The agreement promotes research activities, knowledge transfer, and the training of educational experts, paving the way for a strong partnership between the two institutions in innovating and enhancing the quality of education.
