On March 31, Dong Thap University held the 24th Olympic Contest on the subjects of Marxism–Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s Thought. This annual event aims to enhance students’ knowledge and inspire their passion for studying and researching Ho Chi Minh’s ideology and ethics as well as Marxism–Leninism.
In attendance were Mr. Cao Dao Thep – Vice Rector of Dong Thap University; Dr. Assoc. Prof. Le Van Tung – Vice Rector of the School of Education; along with representatives from university departments, faculties, and centers; participating contestants; and many students who came to support the event.
This year’s contest featured 11 participating teams and was conducted in two formats: an online round from March 20 to March 26 via the portal https://thitructuyen.dthu.edu.vn, and a live round on March 31 in Hall H1.
In the live competition, teams competed in three rounds. The first round, “We are Students of Dong Thap University,” allowed each team to introduce their faculty and academic programs while creatively expressing the contest’s message. The second round, “Following the Course of History,” challenged teams with 10 fast-paced multiple-choice questions, requiring in-depth knowledge. In the final round, “Proudly Advancing Under the Party’s Flag,” teams presented dynamic videos promoting the ideological values of Ho Chi Minh through their own short propaganda clips.
In the online round, three teams including Faculty of Political Education, Faculty of Mathematics - Informatics Teacher Education, and Faculty of Primary and Preschool Education shared the First Prize. In the live round, the Faculty of Political Education took First Prize, the Faculty of Economics and Laws won Second Prize, and the Faculty of Foreign Languages earned Third Prize. In addition, special awards were given: the Best Performance in the “We are Students of Dong Thap University” round went to the Faculty of Physical Education and Art Education, and the Most Impressive Presentation in the “Proudly Advancing Under the Party’s Flag” round was awarded to the Faculty of Social Sciences Education.
The contest served as a meaningful academic platform, motivating students to develop their learning and research spirit while fostering greater political and ideological awareness among the younger generation.
