On March 24, Dong Thap University welcomed and held a working session with Guimaras State University (GSU), Philippines, as part of the cooperation agreement between the two institutions and to finalize the exchange plan for 2025.
Representing Guimaras State University were Dr. LILIAN DIANA B. PARREÑO, President, and other accompanying members. On the Dong Thap University side, attendees included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Van Thong, Rector of Dong Thap University; Mr. Cao Dao Thep, Vice Rector; and representatives of related departments.
During the working session, both universities discussed potential cooperation in training, scientific research, and faculty and student exchange. Based on the mutually agreed content, faculties and academic programs of the two universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), laying the foundation for future academic exchanges and professional development programs.
On the same day, Dr. Lilian Diana B. Parreño, President of Guimaras State University, delivered a keynote lecture titled “Higher Education in the Digital Age.” The presentation offered diverse perspectives on digital transformation trends in education, aiming to enhance the quality of teaching and learning in the context of globalization.
