TALK SHOW: DONG THAP YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS – BUILDING STARTUPS, SPREADING THE READING CULTURE

On the afternoon of June 30, at Hall H1, the Center for Technology Transfer, Entrepreneurship, and Events of Dong Thap University, in collaboration with the Dong Thap Young Entrepreneurs Association, the Dong Thap Center for Business Support and Startups, and the “Reading with Cyclo” Project, organized a talk show titled “Dong Thap Young Entrepreneurs Joining Hands to Build a Startup Ecosystem and Promote a Reading Culture”. The event was held as part of the “Entrepreneurship Rendezvous” program for students in 2025.

The talk show was honored to welcome leaders from Dong Thap University, the Dong Thap Center for Business Support and Startups, the Dong Thap Young Entrepreneurs Association, along with members of various business associations, industry groups, the Women Entrepreneurs Association, representatives of local educational institutions such as Dong Thap Medical College, Nguyen Quang Dieu High School for the Gifted, and other colleges and high schools in the province. Also in attendance were members of the Nhat Tam Charity Group, the Student Startup Club, startup sub-associations, and over 250 youth union members from various units.

During the seminar, delegates had the opportunity to hear from the following speakers:

  • Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tung – Vice President of the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association, President of the Clean Agricultural Products Association of Ho Chi Minh City, and Chairman of Vina T&T Group – who presented on “The Vision of Young Entrepreneurs for Responsible Agricultural Startups.”

  • Mr. Tran Huy Hien – Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, President of the Dong Thap Young Entrepreneurs Association, and Chairman cum Director of Pha Le Food Additives Co., Ltd. – who spoke on “Orientations of Dong Thap Young Entrepreneurs in Building a Startup Community.”

  • Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Phuong – Executive Head of the “Reading with Cyclo” Project – who shared about the community reading movement and the journey of the project initiated by Vice President of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan.

The interactive Q&A session drew lively participation from both speakers and attendees. Numerous practical questions were raised regarding topics such as building a sustainable startup ecosystem, developing responsible agriculture, promoting a reading culture, and connecting businesses with students - reflecting the deep interest and high expectations of the community for the growth of the local startup movement.

On this occasion, Dong Thap University’s Center for Technology Transfer, Entrepreneurship, and Events, the Dong Thap Young Entrepreneurs Association, and the “Reading with Cyclo” Project Office signed a cooperation agreement to launch the campaign “Dong Thap Young Entrepreneurs Join Hands to Promote a Reading Culture.” Additionally, the university introduced the “DThU’s Young Digital Creator Club” and launched the media campaign “Green Gen – I Choose My Hometown’s OCOP,” promising to bring a fresh wave of innovation and entrepreneurship to students at Dong Thap University.
