On the afternoon of June 30, the Party Committee of Dong Thap University held a conference to review the Party’s work in the first six months of 2025 and to outline directions and key tasks for the remaining half of the year. The event was attended by Mr. Truong Tan Dat – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council; Mr. Ho Van Thong – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University; Mr. Cao Dao Thep – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector; along with members of the Party Committee’s Standing Board, Executive Committee, the Executive Committee of the Pedagogical School’s Party Committee, and Executive Committees of affiliated Party cells.
In the first half of 2025, the Party Committee demonstrated comprehensive and effective leadership across various areas, achieving numerous positive results.
The university successfully organized several key events, including the inauguration of the “Building of DThU Aspiration”, the STEM Festival, and the Science–Technology–Innovation and Digital Transformation Day of Dong Thap Province. Academic activities were strengthened with the launch of 7 new undergraduate programs, 4 master’s programs, and 2 doctoral programs. The on-time graduation rate reached 83.7%, with 87.5% of graduates employed within 12 months.
Scientific research and international cooperation were prioritized, marked by thematic seminars, AI training sessions, and the signing of cooperation agreements with various partners from China, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan.
The party-building efforts at Dong Thap University continued to gain momentum, with 99 new members admitted and the successful organization of the 19th Executive Committee of Dong Thap University’s Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term. Mass organizations played an active role in launching volunteer campaigns, startup initiatives, and activities aimed at improving the material and spiritual well-being of staff and students.
During the conference, outstanding Party cells and members were honored for their exemplary performance in studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics, and style over the 2016–2025 period.
In the months ahead, the Party Committee will focus on organizational restructuring, quality accreditation, student recruitment, communications, revolutionary ideals education, and the holistic development of learners—laying the groundwork for a stronger, more dynamic Dong Thap University.
