On October 23, Dong Thap University held the Academic Advising Conference for the 2024–2025 academic year. The event was attended by Mr. Cao Dao Thep -Vice Rector of the University, along with representatives from various departments, the Youth Union, the Student Association, the School of Education, and relevant faculties.
The conference reported on the achievements of academic advising activities during the 2023–2024 academic year, highlighting numerous notable successes. The proportion of students achieving high academic and extracurricular performance increased significantly. Additionally, the rates of students graduating on time and participating in health insurance reached the set targets, reflecting the positive contributions of academic advisors.
During the conference, delegates discussed and proposed solutions to enhance the effectiveness of academic advising activities in the 2024–2025 academic year. Notably, the program included a recognition ceremony for outstanding academic advisors, acknowledging and encouraging the efforts of faculty members.
The conference announced awards for 72 staff members with outstanding achievements in academic advising, with distribution in three phases. Furthermore, 115 staff members were recognized for achieving a 100% health insurance participation rate among students in the 2023–2024 academic year, with rewards distributed in six phases.
In his address at the conference, Mr. Cao Dao Thep emphasized the vital role of academic advising in supporting and serving students. He affirmed that collaboration among faculty and departments is a key factor in achieving meaningful outcomes in the upcoming academic year.
Dong Thap University is committed to continuously improving the effectiveness of academic advising, aiming for the comprehensive development of its students. Through close collaboration between faculty, departments, and students, the academic advising efforts for the 2024–2025 academic year are expected to achieve even greater successes, providing practical benefits and fostering a positive, effective learning environment for students.
