On the morning of September 19, the Faculty of Economics and Law, in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Office, conducted a pilot workshop to gather feedback from external stakeholders using the DACUM method. The workshop attracted significant interest from stakeholders, including employers in the Business Administration sector, alumni of the program, and experienced professionals in the field.
The workshop aimed to collect input regarding the competencies and qualities required for students in the Business Administration training program. This feedback serves as the foundation for defining the program's objectives, establishing competency standards, and designing the program’s learning outcomes to align with post-graduation expectations.
In the context of globalization and rapid technological advancement, coupled with intense competition in the labor market, the demand for a high-quality workforce continues to grow. Organizations and businesses increasingly expect employees to possess solid theoretical knowledge alongside strong practical skills. Enhancing students’ professional competencies not only helps them meet employer expectations but also improves their adaptability and capacity to thrive in an ever-changing work environment.
Dong Thap University has identified the development of students' professional competencies as a key mission to bolster the institution’s reputation. Employing the DACUM method allows the university to design training programs based on stakeholder input, bringing students closer to real-world professional demands and improving their chances of career success post-graduation.
The workshop aimed to refine the professional competency framework and improve the curriculum for the Business Administration program to meet the growing demands of the labor market.
