The educational philosophy of Dong Thap University is “Creation - Professionalism - Integration.” This serves as a guiding principle and foundation to create conditions and a working environment that can contribute to attracting and retaining talent.
In the 2023-2024 academic year, to enhance its resources, the university will implement a policy to support staff who are being trained under the university’s planning scheme. The policy includes a commitment to fulfill obligations as per regulations and study the correct field/major according to the plan. The maximum support amount during the course of study will range from 130 to 180 million VND per person.
Upon successfully defending their doctoral thesis, staff will receive a reward of 25 million VND per person. If a staff member defends their thesis on time or earlier than scheduled, they will receive an additional 5 million VND. They will also be supported with one round-trip flight ticket (economy class) and an additional round-trip flight ticket for one family member. Upon receiving their doctoral degree, they will be supported with one round-trip flight ticket (economy class).
Additionally, the university will provide financial support for staff appointed to the titles of Professor or Associate Professor. The maximum support is 500 million VND for a staff member appointed as a Professor, and 250 million VND for a staff member appointed as an Associate Professor. This funding is provided from the university’s legitimate revenue or the Career Development Fund.
After more than 20 years of operation and development in the higher education environment, Dong Thap University has always paid attention to and implemented appropriate policies to ensure that each staff member and lecturer is recognized and has the opportunity to develop through their main tasks: management, teaching, scientific research, and community service.
The policies related to staff, teaching allowances, and support for Professors, Associate Professors, Doctors, as well as research funding packages, have been successfully implemented, maintained, and improved over time.
