On June 19, at the Traditional Room, Dong Thap University held a meeting to commemorate the 99th Anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2024). The program was not only an occasion to recall the revolutionary press tradition but also an opportunity to honor the contributions of journalists and press agencies, serving as a warm rendezvous that has been "scheduled" through sincere connections between journalists and educators, and between those working in the media and journalism with those in the education and training sector.
Attending the meeting from Dong Thap Province were Comrade Dinh Van Nam, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Propaganda Department of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee. From Dong Thap University, attendees included Journalist Dr. Truong Tan Dat, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council, and Editor-in-Chief of the Dong Thap University Journal of Science; Journalist Dr. Luong Thanh Tan, Vice Rector; as well as representatives from various offices, faculties, and centers of the University. The event also saw the presence of 40 journalists and invited guests, including leaders and journalists from various press and media agencies.
During the meeting, many ideas for media connections were proposed. The journalists shared stories and memories from their fieldwork, the challenges and difficulties they faced, as well as the joys and pride of completing their tasks, especially in the field of education and training.
Speaking at the meeting, Journalist Dr. Truong Tan Dat, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council, and Editor-in-Chief of the Dong Thap University Journal of Science, stated: “Today's meeting is also a special reunion for me personally, as someone deeply involved in journalism and with a strong admiration for the profession. For the teaching staff of Dong Thap University, we always cherish and hold the highest regard for those working in the field of journalism and media.”
The 11th consecutive Meeting to Commemorate the 99th Anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press at Dong Thap University this year left many beautiful impressions and opened up meaningful connections for the future.
