The mission of Dong Thap University is to provide high-level, multidisciplinary human resources education, with a core focus on educational sciences and teacher training; conduct scientific research; and offer community services, contributing to the socio-economic development of the Mekong Delta region and the country. In alignment with this mission, the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, School of Education at Dong Thap University has undertaken numerous activities to connect and share expertise with math teachers from high schools both within and outside Dong Thap province. These activities include thematic reports during professional meetings and presentations at specialized workshops.
On October 18, 2023, the faculty participated in a presentation and product exhibition at the Mathematics STEM Day at Cao Lanh 1 High School, Cao Lanh District, Dong Thap Province, under the theme "Nurturing Creativity through the Application of Mathematics in Life." This event was co-organized by the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics and Cao Lanh 1 High School, with the participation of students and math teachers from three high schools in Cao Lanh District: Cao Lanh 1 High School, Cao Lanh 2 High School, and Thong Linh High School.
On January 17, 2024, the faculty engaged in a professional activity and presented two papers during a professional meeting of math teachers from the clusters of schools in Cao Lanh and Thap Muoi Districts, Dong Thap Province. This event attracted over 50 teachers from high schools in the two districts and was attended by representatives from the Department of Secondary and Continuing Education, Dong Thap Department of Education and Training, and the Head of the Mathematics Division, Dong Thap Province Teachers Council.
On January 24, 2024, the faculty presented two specialized reports at a professional meeting at Lap Vo 2 High School, Lap Vo District, Dong Thap Province, attended by all math teachers from Lap Vo 2 High School.

On March 10, 2024, the faculty served as judges and presented two papers at the Mathematics and English Mathematics Extracurricular Activities Workshop for the 2023-2024 school year at Nguyen Hue High School, Ben Tre Province. This event saw participation from many students and teachers from high schools in Ben Tre Province.
On April 20, 2024, the faculty presented three papers at a workshop titled "Solutions to Improve High School Professional Quality for the 2023-2024 School Year" at Ho Thi Ky High School, Ca Mau Province. The workshop was attended by leaders from the Ca Mau Department of Education and Training, specialists from various departments, and representatives and teachers from 33 high schools and continuing education centers in Ca Mau Province. The workshop focused on sharing experiences through reports from lecturers of Can Tho University (one report), Dong Thap University (three reports), and Ho Thi Ky High School (one report).
On April 27, 2024, the faculty participated in a professional meeting and sports exchange at Hoa Hung Secondary School, Cai Be District, Tien Giang Province. This event attracted the participation of leaders and nearly 50 math teachers from secondary schools in Cai Be District. During the professional meeting, faculty members and secondary school teachers listened to two specialized reports on secondary school mathematics, observed demonstration lessons, and discussed teaching methods at several secondary schools in Cai Be District.
On May 26, 2024, the faculty presented two specialized reports at Nguyen Trung Truc High School, Kien Giang Province. This presentation attracted nearly 30 math teachers from high schools in Rach Gia City, Kien Giang Province, including Nguyen Trung Truc High School, Ngo Si Lien High School, Kien Giang Ethnic Boarding High School, Nguyen Hung Son High School, Tan Hiep High School, and Vinh Hoa Secondary-High School.
The specialized reports and presentations by the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics focused on several key aspects of the 2018 High School Mathematics Curriculum for grades 10, 11, and 12, including: Graph Theory for Grade 11; Organizing Mathematics Teaching with a STEM/STEAM Education Approach; Using Handheld Calculators in Secondary and High School Mathematics Teaching; Assessment and Evaluation in Mathematics Teaching Oriented Towards Student Competency Development; Probability and Statistics in High School Education, and more.
Through these activities, the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics has had the opportunity to connect and share expertise with high school teachers, gaining insights into the organization of mathematics teaching and learning in high schools. This helps to guide the development of the faculty's training programs, adhering to the principle of training teachers closely aligned with practical high school needs and employer requirements.
Additionally, these activities support high school teachers in implementing the 2018 High School Education Program and promote the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, School of Education, Dong Thap University to high school students and teachers, thereby contributing to the university's recruitment efforts.
Moving forward, the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics will continue to engage in activities to connect, interact, and share expertise in mathematics and informatics with high schools within and outside Dong Thap Province, aiming to fulfill the functions and tasks of the faculty more effectively.
