On May 10, the Dong Thap University Lawyers' Association convened the Member Convention for the term 2024 - 2029. 
Attending the convention from the Dong Thap Provincial Lawyers' Association were comrades Doan Quoc Cuong, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Lawyers' Association and Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial Lawyers' Association; Le Van Be Sau, Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial Lawyers' Association; Pham Tien Tri, Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial Lawyers' Association; Nguyen Van Dang, Member and Secretary of the Provincial Lawyers' Association. From Dong Thap University leadership were MA. Cao Dao Thep, Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Minh Gian, Former Vice Rector, and representatives from Lawyers' Association  of faculties and offices, along with 20 members of the Dong Thap University Lawyers' Association.
Established by Decision No. 03/QD-HLGDT dated April 5, 2021, by the Standing Committee of the Dong Thap Provincial Lawyers' Association, the Dong Thap University Lawyers' Association consists of 16 members, including lecturers, officials, and staff of the university. Before its establishment, members fulfilled roles in teaching, supporting, and advising in legal education, dissemination, and law enforcement activities. Since its inception, the Executive Board has disseminated the Association's Charter and organized thorough orientations for members on the Party's principles and government laws. During the previous term, the Association collaborated with the Inspectorate and Legal Affairs Office of the University to implement and provide feedback on numerous legislative documents, totaling 23 submissions as required by central and provincial agencies.
For the term from 2024 to 2029, the Association has set forth goals, directions, and critical tasks aimed at enhancing the membership base, participating in policy formulation, monitoring law enforcement, and developing legal education and outreach activities. Of utmost importance is fostering proactive, innovative, and progressive spirits within the organization to successfully fulfill its political tasks. Based on draft reports from the Association, members actively contributed ideas and solutions to strengthen and develop a robust Association in the upcoming term.
The Convention elected the new Executive Board for the term 2024 - 2029, comprising 06 Lawyers: Lawyer Dang Truong Trung Tinh, Head of the Inspections and Legal Affairs Office as Chairman of the Association; Lawyer Le Bao Tuan, Specialist of the Inspections and Legal Affairs Office, as Vice Chairman. The Convention was conducted with a spirit of unity, consensus, democracy, and collective wisdom. It critically reviewed the outstanding achievements of the Association during the previous term while setting directions, tasks, and action plans for the 2024 - 2029 term.
