On the morning of April 22, Dong Thap University awarded a certificate and commendation to Lam Phu Cuong, a student of class 12CB6 at Do Cong Tuong High School, for achieving an impressive high score of level 3 (B1) in the English proficiency test (VSTEP) held by Dong Thap University last March.

Reportedly, Dong Thap University has been recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training as an authorized test site to conduct and issue English proficiency certificates according to the 6-level Vietnamese Standardized Test of English Proficiency (VSTEP) since December 2023. Currently, the university is offering test preparation courses and organizing monthly exams.
According to the new regulations by the Ministry of Education and Training, starting from 2024, student-candidates like Lam Phu Cuong who achieve a minimum level of B1 (level 3) in the VSTEP will be exempt from the foreign language exam in the National High School Graduation Exam. Additionally, they will meet both the entrance and graduation requirements for students at Dong Thap University.
