At 14:00 on March 27, 2024, the University Council of Dong Thap University convened its 20th session, the second session of 2024.
The session was chaired by Dr. Truong Tan Dat, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the University Council, and attended by Dr. Ho Van Thong, the University Rector, along with other members from within and outside the university.
During the session, the University Council evaluated the outcomes of the previous session and the 19th session on topics such as: opening new undergraduate training disciplines, investment policies for renovation projects, utilization of public assets; convening the reorganization meeting of the University Council of Dong Thap University and issuing several resolutions from the 19th session of the University Council; determining methods and targets for undergraduate and preschool education admissions for 2024 and beyond.
The University Council reviewed, decided, and passed several matters under its jurisdiction for the upcoming period.
The University Council unanimously approved the internal management regulations for Dong Thap University in 2024, specifically including: (1) Organization and operation regulations of Dong Thap University; (2) Regulations on confidence voting for university leaders at Dong Thap University; (3) Regulations on appointment, re-appointment, tenure extension to retirement age, resignation, dismissal of management officials.
At the session, University Council members discussed and voted on the Employment Position List and Quantity Framework for job positions at units affiliated with Dong Thap University in 2024.
The Employment Position List at Dong Thap University is categorized into 5 groups of positions. The Quantity Framework for job positions is determined for 5 groups of job positions to ensure workforce numbers, specifically: University Council job positions: 2 persons; Leadership and management job positions: 121 persons; Profession-specific job positions: 305 persons; General professional job positions: 183 persons; Technical and service job positions: 42 persons.
During the meeting, University Council members discussed, exchanged views, and provided opinions on the recruitment plan for university staff in 2024 at Dong Thap University as proposed by the Rector in Document No. 1239/TTr-DHDT dated March 26, 2024.
Furthermore, the University Council agreed to approve the financial expenditure estimate for 2024 and endorsed the approach to implement major procurement, investment, renovation, and repair projects (exceeding 500 million VND) in 2024.
At the session, University Council members also discussed, provided opinions on, and approved the tuition fee collection schedule for undergraduate, dual-study, transfer, associate degree, distance learning, master's, and doctoral programs from the academic year 2024 - 2025 to the academic year 2027 - 2028, applicable to admissions cohorts from 2024 and earlier, as regulated by Decree No. 81/2021/ND-CP and Decree No. 97/2023/ND-CP of the Government.
The University Council assigned the Rector of Dong Thap University to direct and implement the resolutions within its jurisdiction, reporting the outcomes to the University Council according to operational regulations.
