DT Online - In 2024, Dong Thap University (DTU) is admitting 5,000 regular enrollment slots across 43 undergraduate majors and one preschool education associate degree program, including several new, highly promising fields anticipated to meet future societal demands.
In 2023, DTU introduced new majors/programs such as Mathematics Education (English-language Mathematics program), Chinese Language (Chinese-English language), Computer Science (Software Engineering; Computer Networks and Security), Educational Psychology, Geography, Public Administration, Law, Biotechnology, Information Technology, Resource and Environmental Management, Civic Education, International Business, Business Administration (Marketing Management), Finance - Banking (Corporate Finance), and Accounting (Corporate Accounting).
To promptly meet the hiring needs of the labor market in the coming years, DTU will continue to open three new majors in 2024: Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Food Technology, and Construction Engineering.
In the Logistics and Supply Chain Management field, graduates can work in various roles and sectors such as analyst, demand planner, production scheduler, import-export coordinator, procurement specialist, document controller, transportation operations manager, international payment specialist, logistics business development, shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, customs, customer care, supply chain consulting and analysis; teaching, and specialized research in logistics and supply chain management at research institutes and universities.
In the Food Technology field, graduates can work in positions such as process engineering manager, food preservation specialist, equipment operator, system operator, production line manager in food systems, agriculture and rural development, food science and technology, food safety and hygiene management, quality management in agriculture, forestry and fisheries, preventive healthcare; management of food service providers in restaurants, hotels, schools, companies, factories, industrial parks, hospitals, industrial food service providers; consulting and research at businesses dealing with food products or ingredients, food flavorings production; research and teaching at institutions specializing in food technology and nutrition; development of new food products, functional foods, analyst, raw material and product testing...
