On the morning of January 25th, Dong Thap University conducted the doctoral dissertation defense at the institutional level for doctoral candidate Nguyen Minh Sang, majoring in Educational Management, with the topic of "Management of Learning Activities of Engineering and Technology Students through CDIO Approach at Universities in the Mekong Delta Region." This is the first cohort study of the Educational Management major at Dong Thap University, successfully defending the institutional-level dissertation for the academic years 2020 - 2023.

In 2019, the university opened the first cohort of the doctoral program in Educational Management with 03 doctoral candidates. As of the current time, Dong Thap University has organized 05 cohorts for doctoral training in Educational Management with a total of 36 doctoral candidates studying and researching at the university. Dong Thap University is also the only higher education institution in the Mekong Delta region to offer a doctoral program in Educational Management.

With over 21 years of integration and development, Dong Thap University has achieved many impressive accomplishments. Over the 21 years, the university's faculty has developed significantly in terms of quantity, quality, and structure. Initially, the university only offered 05 undergraduate programs at its establishment. Now, it has expanded to include: 01 doctoral program (Educational Management); 14 master's degree programs; and over 40 undergraduate majors.Dr. Ho Van Thong, Rector of Dong Thap University, stated: "We are striving to continue improving the quality of education and directing training programs to meet the diverse needs of learners. At the same time, we ensure that the research conducted by doctoral candidates is closely linked to practical applications, ensuring scientific rigor and applicability in professional work. According to the current training roadmap, it is expected that in 2024, the university will establish the Institutional Council for Professorship, aiming to enhance the training curriculum to ensure scientific rigor and provide high-quality human resources for both education and society as a whole. With the achievements made in recent years, Dong Thap University has demonstrated efforts and pride in providing a high-quality training environment for learners and the community."
