On the evening of 26/11, an event entitled “DThU” Students’ Association - Useful information for DThUers” was organized at Lecture Hall 1 by the Secretariat of Dong Thap University’s Students' Association, attracting a large number of lecturers, cadres of University’s Youth Union, Students’ Association and students.

Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, MA - Standing member of Youth Union’s Committee, President of the University Students' Association; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Phu, PhD - Secretary of the University Council, Department of Party and Youth Union Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Van Nghiem, MA - Deputy Head of Student Affairs and Communication Office; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nam. MA - Member of the Board of Trade Unions; Mr. Huynh Thanh Thuong, Deputy Director of Dong Thap’s Skills Club, Province’s Skills Training Team, Level I Coach of the Vietnam Youth Federation; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh Truc - YaKult Vietnam Co., Ltd. Dong Thap branch; and members of University's Students' Association Committee, the Presidents of affiliated clubs and more than 200 interested students.

Students sharing and exchanging experience at the event

 

The event introduced students useful reports, jointly implemented by the University's Students' Association and Youth Union, about the topics “Social networks: time and knowledge, you and me”, “The journey to conquer the title of “Student of Five Merits" of provincial level. At the same time, models to give companionship and support to students in the period of 2023 – 2025, the Advisory Boards, Directing Board of Dong Thap University's Pink Lotus Skill Club; Directing Board of the Off-Campus Student Club, Executive Board of the “Jobs here” model (connecting part-time jobs for students) and that of  “Gift of Friendship” were established and introduced to students.

During the event, Students’ Association members and students were informed of many experiences in online contest participation, were adviced to shift from “playing” to “using” their social network for the right manner. At the same time, the students were introduced models to give companionship and supports to students in their learning and training activities, contributing to motivating students to conquer the title of “Student of Five Merits” in the future.

On this occasion, the Organizion Committee awarded 44 prizes to 8 collectives and 36 individuals for their excellent achievements in the video clip design contest of “Live healthy every day” and the contest of “Gratitude to the boat rowers”, held earlier to celebrate the 41st  anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day (20/11/1982 - 20/11/2023).

The event helped create an environment for Youth Uninion’s members and students to learn from each other, to form mutual bonds and improve their abilities, strong points via constructive comments from the judges, Accordingly, the true values and attraction of “Student of Five Merits” movement could be on widespread influence, contributing to building stronger Youth Union and Students’ Association organizations./.
