On June 20th, a mid-term conference was held by University Council of Dong Thap University to make a preliminary summing-up and evaluate the Council’s leading and directing activities, mainly on the attained results of implementing its signed Resolutions in 2022-2025 term.

Present at the conference was Dr. Truong Tan Dat, University’s Party Secretary and Chairman of University’s Council, Dr Ho Van Thong, University’s Party Vice-Secretary, Rector of Dong Thap University, Dr, Luong Thanh Tan, Vice Rector, Mr. Cao Dap Thep, MEd, Vice-Rector, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Vu, Vice-Rector, and Heads of the University’s faculties and offices, some lecturers and students who belong to the University’s Council.

The conference said that since the term inception to mid-term period the University’s Council successfully completed its overall working objectives and plans, timely issued guidelines and policies, especially those relating to matter of human resource and other arising and emerging tasks imposed to the University.

The University’s Council has been proactively working under its charters and regulations by following the collective-based principle, making decisions according to majority’s consensus as well as organizing regular conferences, meetings as stipulated. The Council has enhanced the strength of its collective, high sense of solidarity and responsibility in that all Council’s members read involved dispatches, documents and had thorough discussions during its meeting before they advised the Council to make right decisions and guidelines, considering the current situation and characteristics of the University.

The University’s Council also received regular attention and support from Ministry of Education and Training, from Provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee of Dong Thap province, listened to timely leadership and directorship from the University’s Party Committee and University’s leading collective in how the Rector directed and ran the University’s operational activities, the conference affirmed.

The University’s Council has further prescribed and perfected its system of administrating and managing documents by taking reference of such similar ones issued in 2002, the inception year of 2020-2025 term. The synergy and determination of the University’s leaders, lecturers and staff have been enhanced in how the Counccil implemented the common objectives and tasks towards meeting the University’s Mission and Vision for a successful construction of a “Constructivist – Professional – Integrated” university.
