Within the framework of the SEA-Teacher Student Exchange Program, Batch 9, 2023, held by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), on the morning of May 10, 2023, at English Hangout Club, H1 Building, Dong Thap University had a meeting to welcome Philippine students from Capiz State University (CAPSU) and Iloilo University of Science and Technology (ISAT U) to participate in phase 2 of the program at the university.
At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Anh Thu, Head of the International Affairs Office, Dong Thap University, warmly welcomed the international practicum student-teachers - Phase 2, 2023. She shared: "Under the direction of the leaders, we will provide favorable conditions for you to successfully fulfill your practicum period duties. Hopefully, through your practical experiences during the practicum, you will have a better understanding of the education, culture, and people of Dong Thap province in particular and of Vietnam in general. And this is a good opportunity to strengthen friendship and cooperation between Dong Thap University with Capiz State University and Iloilo University of Science and Technology of the Philippines."
Sharing impressions at the meeting, representatives of students of Capiz State University and Iloilo University of Science and Technology thanked Dong Thap University for the well-organized arrangements and warm welcome. They added: "This is the first time they have been to Vietnam. Everything here seems to be the same as in the Philippines and with the support of Dong Thap University’s accommodating lecturers and students, we are confident that we will quickly get along well and complete our practicum satisfactorily."
