On April 6th, 2023 morning, Dong Thap University in coordination with Ba Ria Vung Tau department of education and training solemnly held a ceremony to conclude a training course and grant certificates to 153 school teachers who have successfully completed the course to be able to teach informatics and technology subjects in primary schools as prescribed in the new General Education Program.

Present at the ceremony were Dr. Luong Thanh Tan, Vice Rector of Dong Thap University, Dr. Nguyen Thuan Quy,  Vice Director of Training partnership and Professional development center as representatives of Dong Thap University and Mr. Nguyen Van Ba – Vice Director of Ba Ria Vung Tau department of education and training, representatives of divisions and offices belonging to department of education and training; Dr. Nguyen The Hai, Vice Rector of Ba Ria Vung Tau teachers’ training college and the teachers participating in the training course.

In 2022 – 2023 academic year, Dong Thap University in coordination with Ba Ria Vung Tau department of education and training has organized training courses for school teachers who could be then in charge of teaching informatics and technology subjects in primary schools towards effectively responding to new subjects prescribed in the 2018 General Education Program.  After three months starting form November 11th, 2022, 153 among 160 course participants (95,63%) have successfully completed the course and received certificates while 07 remaining members are still on their progress of submitting the assignments for completing the course as required.

Currently, Dong Thap University is enrolling learners, who will be granted with certificates after class completion, for training courses enabling school teachers to teach the subjects prescribed in the 2018 General Education Program. These training courses can be flexibly opened, depending on the actual needs proposed by local departments of education and training.
